At Melton South Early School, children flourish when joyfully and actively engaged in a secure, welcoming atmosphere. Our program is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework – 'Belonging, Being & Becoming.' This helps us nurture your child’s overall development – communication, social skills, emotional balance, and thinking – through enriching play-based experiences and caring, intentional guidance.
We create stimulating, comforting environments where children feel confident to investigate, experiment, share ideas, and build friendships. Our dedicated educators attentively observe each child’s unique interests and abilities, planning experiences that extend their learning in meaningful and exciting ways.
OUR PROGRAMS
Designed for every stage of early childhood.
From our gentle Gum leaves nursery for infants (approx. 6 wks - 18 mths), through our engaging Gumnuts room for our pre-toddlers (approx. 18 mths – 2 years ), to our exciting Eucalypts toddler room (2-3 years old) we provide specialised care. Banksia is our non funded 3-4 year old mixed kinder room. Our Pre kinder room are designed for children aged from 3-4 and 4 year old kinder for children between the ages of 4-5 yeard old. Each room offers stimulating learning experiences designed for that specific developmental stage, led by passionate educators.
Our Littlest Learners
Caterpillars
(Approx. 6 weeks - 18 months)
A warm and nurturing haven where our youngest children begin their incredible journey of growth and transformation. Just like caterpillars inching along their first leaves, they explore their world through rich sensory experiences and secure relationships, gathering the essential pieces of understanding and fostering a deep sense of curiosity from their very first day.

A hive of cheerful activity and playful exploration, designed for our busy younger toddlers! Like friendly ladybugs discovering a vibrant garden, children here develop their social skills, build confidence in their growing abilities, and make exciting connections with their peers and environment, each one a unique and colourful piece of our community.

NUTRITION
Healthy food to fuel busy learners.
We know that good nutrition is vital fuel for active learning and growing bodies! We provide fresh, healthy, and tasty meals and snacks throughout the day, all prepared right here onsite in our kitchen.
Our menus are planned carefully on a rotating basis to offer variety and meet Australian nutritional guidelines for young children. We happily cater for allergies, intolerances, and specific cultural or dietary requirements – please ensure you discuss your child's needs thoroughly with us during the enrolment process so we can keep them safe and well-nourished.
